EVANS: Cross Index of Political Donors and City Beneficiaries

Yes, my administration will publish this information. I also agree with the Committee Seventy’s comprehensive agenda for an open, transparent and ethical mayoral administration; I was one of the first mayoral candidates to fully endorse their agenda and pledge to implement their recommendations as mayor.

He, like every other candidate who has responded, has agreed to do the anti-corruption measures in the questions. Since his answer was so brief on the civil penalties for offering bribes, it’s not clear he understood that question, which was a problem for others

While the answer is so breezy, you wonder whether the candidate understood the question, its hard to argue with the response. What is needed is someone in the administration spending the administrative time to cross index those who donate to politicians with those who receive the City's largesse.

I like the spirit of the answer but the answer does not address the question which asks for a one stop list showing who has gotten what from the City and who has received what from the City. The preparation of the list would be a pain in the neck but, with such a list, any citizen could observe who is scratching who's back.
