NEW AREAS FOR JOB GROWTH
While 20% of the survey respondents thought the City did “well” or “okay” in the area of jobs and business development over the last 5 years, 69% rated the City’s performance as mediocre or bad.
In the last decade, tourism has joined higher education and health care to become a significant part of the City’s economy creating jobs for residents in all of the City’s neighborhoods.
Do you see your administration fostering job growth and development in other sectors of the economy? If so, what sectors would you choose and what steps would you take to foster growth in your chosen sectors?
