NUTTER: Charter Schools

I agree that Charter Schools have invigorated many parents and students, and I applaud the many new schools that have opened throughout the City. However, the state law guiding the funding of Charters penalizes the School District financially. I propose a higher level scrutiny for the establishment of new Charter Schools unless and until the State pays for the full cost of new Charter School students.
