KNOX: Real Estate Tax
a. I believe that the current move to full assessment should be revenue neutral.
b. I support the concept of a buffering program. However, I favor a cap on increases and decreases rather than a system of rolling averages.
c. Deferments are well worth exploring and I support them for the elderly, infirm, or disabled who are living on fixed income. As Mayor, I will convene a panel of real estate and tax experts to recommend an actionable deferment policy.

None of the candidates wants to touch the real estate increase proposal. It can kill seniors and others who can barely afford their real estate taxes now. There is a question on the Primary ballot that asks "Would you approve a Council change in the way taxes are proposed?" The answer should be "yes." Brett Mandell is all for the tax increase and so is CCRA's president. Shame on him and his support of Brett Mandell and shame on anyone who lets this pass. Michael Nutters said, "Philadelphians don't know what real taxes are." Goodbye Mr. Nutter. Fattah won't release his income so we all know what he's trying to hide. Goodbye Mr. Fattah.
